Field based service

More than turning up at night.

Effective pest animal control starts with understanding the property. SouthPoint looks at access, recent sign, animal movement, stock, neighbours, roads, boundaries, terrain and safe control options before work begins.

About the operator

Local operator. Already working across rural properties.

Jon South is a Cowra-based operator working across the Central West NSW. Through SouthPoint Weed Spraying, Jon is already regularly working on rural properties across the area, dealing with landholders, access tracks, paddocks, gates, livestock, boundaries, terrain and changing seasonal conditions.

That practical field experience carries directly across to SouthPoint Contract Shooting / Vertebrate Pest Animal Control, where understanding how a property operates is just as important as the equipment being used.

Work is planned around stock, people, neighbours, roads, boundaries, terrain and the safest available control options.

Why SouthPoint

Property-aware pest animal control.

Being on properties regularly for both weed spraying and pest animal control means SouthPoint is often in a position to notice fresh sign, wallows, tracks, movement patterns, fence pressure, stock in the wrong paddock, gates left open or anything else that looks out of place.

That gives landholders a practical service built around observation, discretion, clear communication and respect for how each farm operates.

Services

Monitoring, assessment and lawful control work.

Thermal monitoring

Thermal optics assist with detection, identification and lower-disturbance night work where conditions suit.

Trail cameras

Trail cameras help confirm movement patterns, problem areas and follow-up requirements before and after control work.

Ground-based control

Professional contract shooting for foxes, pigs, deer, goats, rabbits and other declared pest animals where lawful.

Property assessments

Assessment of access, target species, recent sign, safe areas, no-go zones, boundaries, stock locations and control options.

Landholder paperwork

ABN, invoices, public liability evidence, capability statement and job documentation available where required.

Rural awareness

Regular rural property work through SouthPoint Weed Spraying helps build practical knowledge of local terrain, access, gates, fences, stock and landholder expectations.

Service options

Structured options, quoted to suit the property.

Every property is different. SouthPoint offers flexible service options depending on property size, access, pest pressure, target species, monitoring needs, safety considerations and lawful approval requirements.

Problem animals

After submitting, the site will show a confirmation page. Jon will follow up to discuss access, safety and suitability before any work is booked.

Discreet, planned and property-aware.

No recreational hunting approach. No unnecessary disturbance. No promises that cannot be backed up by conditions on the ground.

Each job is discussed with the landholder so stock, neighbours, roads, boundaries, safe backstops and no-go areas are understood before work begins.

Target species

Focused pest animal control.

  • Foxes, pigs, deer, goats, rabbits and feral cats.
  • Kangaroo control only where the correct permit or authority is in place.
  • Trail camera monitoring and follow-up recommendations.
  • Thermal optics used for detection, identification and safer decision-making.

Trail camera monitoring

Footage helps plan the job before the job starts.

Trail camera footage can show when animals are moving, where they are travelling and which areas need attention. This helps plan more effective control work while reducing unnecessary disturbance across the property.

Videos open on Facebook. More recent field footage is available on Facebook and Instagram.
